Privacy
Plain words about what Lumen keeps, why, and your choices.
What we keep
- If you sign up: your email, and what you add in Lumen. If you use Google to sign in, Google also tells us your name; we don't use it for anything else. That means your children's first names or nicknames and ages, your watchlist, and your preferences.
- If you don't sign in: what you add stays in this browser. We don't see it.
- Visit counts: pages and reviews opened, titles saved or shared, and which link brought you here. Each browser gets a random number so we can count visits. They never include names or emails.
- What you send us: feedback, and titles you ask us to review.
Why we keep it
To keep your family's picks on every device where you sign in. And to email you, but only if you ticked the box to get Lumen's picks and warnings.
Visit counts and feedback help us choose what to review next and fix what is wrong.
What we never do
- We never sell your information.
- We never share it with anyone for their own use.
- We never show ads.
Your account is stored with Supabase, the service that runs Lumen's database and sign-in. The site is served by Cloudflare.
Children
Lumen is for parents. Children should not create accounts.
When you add a child to My Family, we suggest a first name or a nickname, plus an age. Nothing more is needed.
Your choices
- Use Lumen without an account. Everything still works on this device.
- Unsubscribe from any email, or untick the box in My Family.
- Delete your account in My Family. That removes your family's data right away. Your email sign-in is removed within 30 days when you ask.
- Or ask us to do any of this with the feedback link.
Who we are
Lumen is run by a Catholic family. To reach us, use the feedback link at the bottom of any Lumen page.
Effective October 2026.
