Not recommended. Side Quests brings back the early, sillier Adventure Time, and Finn still wants to do right. But in Cursed Words, demons born from Jake's swearing are played for laughs, called only a teensy bit evil, spared, and turned into stars. That tells a child demons are harmless. The show also shrugs off evil, leans on rudeness and potty humor, and shows some blood. The franchise celebrates a same-sex couple elsewhere.
For parents
Lumen does not recommend it. If your family watches anyway, it is for 10 and up, and skip Cursed Words. Demons are real fallen angels who turned from God for good, never cute and never turned into stars. The franchise later shows Bubblegum and Marceline as a couple. Ask: is evil ever no big deal? How should friends talk to each other?
