Avatar: Seven Havens

2026 · Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko (creators) · Animated fantasy action series

Acceptable with guidance. Age: 10+. A Catholic review of this show for parents.

Our review

A handsome return to the Avatar world, with brave, kind leads and a strong bond between two sisters. Common Sense Media finds no bad language and plenty of good messages. The reservation is the spiritual map: the Avatar is reborn life after life, and spirits fill the world. It is story-world fantasy, but it rests on reincarnation, which children should hear corrected.

For parents

Common Sense Media says 8 and up and it is TV-PG. Lumen says 10 and up, old enough to talk through the reincarnation idea. Expect frequent elemental fights and scary storms and spirits. Ask: why are people afraid of Pavi? What does the Church teach about our one life and one judgment?
