Our review
Bernadette is a poor girl in Lourdes, France, who studies her catechism and takes care of her little brothers and sisters. Our Lady appears to her and says she is the Immaculate Conception. Thousands of people begin to come and pray at the place where it happened. A Vision Books saint story; we have not read the full text yet. Age 9, from the Catholic Company 9-15 listing.
For parents
Age 9, set by the Catholic Company's 9-15 listing; Seton places it at grade 7. No Common Sense Media page was found. Read it aloud from 7. We have not read the full text, so preview later chapters for a sensitive child. Ask: why did Our Lady choose a poor, humble girl?
