Charlotte's Web

Our review
A little pig named Wilbur is going to be killed for food. A spider named Charlotte writes words in her web to save him. Wilbur lives, but Charlotte dies. This is a gentle film about a friend who gives herself away for someone weaker. Common Sense Media sets the age at 5. Expect a pig in danger and a sad, quiet death that may upset little ones.
For parents
Age 5+, set by Common Sense Media; it is rated G and has no Catholic classification. Wilbur is nearly killed for meat, and Charlotte quietly dies after laying her eggs. Small children may be scared or sad. Ask: how did Charlotte love Wilbur? Where do we turn when someone we love dies?
