Our review
Amy is a thirteen-year-old girl whose mother dies in a car crash. She moves to Canada to live with her father, an inventor, and raises a nest of orphaned goslings. To save the geese, she and her father teach them to follow a small plane south. It is a moving father and daughter story about grief and loyalty to creatures in need. The one age is 8, set by Common Sense Media; no Catholic classification was found. Expect a car crash that opens the film, a few swear words, and a father with a live-in girlfriend.

One age: 8, set by Common Sense Media (MPAA PG; no Catholic classification found). Common Sense notes a car accident at the start, a single strong profanity, brief drinking and a background cigar, and a brief implied nudity moment in the shower. Christian Answers (a conservative evangelical reviewer, 10+) adds that the father has an off-screen sexual relationship with a live-in girlfriend, a vague 'dead mother is everywhere' line it calls New Age, and some deceit and defiance of adults in a good cause. Talk about it: Why do the father and Amy need each other? Why is it still wrong to lie, even for a good cause? What do we really believe about where the dead are?
