Heaven in Stone and Glass

2026 · Rob Kaczmark, Branden Stanley · Catholic documentary

Recommended. Age: All ages. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.

Our review

A Catholic bishop teaches families to read a cathedral the way the medieval faithful did, as Scripture in stone and light. It invites wonder, prayer and a hunger for heaven, and it is Word on Fire's first film for theaters. The one reservation is evidence: no formal review or content log exists yet, so this verdict is provisional.

For parents

Fine for every age, though it is a 90-minute lecture-style film best for curious kids 10 and up and their parents. Watch it before a parish visit. Ask: what Bible stories can you find in our church's windows? Why did people build churches so tall?
