Our review

Christopher Robin's toy friends live in the Hundred Acre Wood. Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger and Rabbit help each other through small adventures, like building a house or rescuing a lost friend. At the end, Christopher Robin has to leave the forest, and the friends say goodbye. It is a gentle book about friends who look after each other, with nothing a parent must correct. Age 7+, set by Lumen's read-alone age; Common Sense Media says 5+ for the collection that contains it.

For parents

Age 7+, set by Lumen's read-alone age (Common Sense Media: 5+ for the Complete Tales omnibus that includes this book; no publisher age was fetched). Read it aloud from about 4. Good talking points: Piglet gives up his house for Owl, and Tigger rescues Rabbit after Rabbit tried to lose him. Ask why that was kind. The ending is a gentle goodbye to childhood and may stir a sniffle.
