Acceptable. Age: 13+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.

Our review

The Parr family of superheroes is back. Mom is asked to help make supers legal again, while Dad stays home with the kids. A villain who hypnotizes people through screens tries to ruin the plan. It is a fun, fast film about a family that sticks together and a mom and dad who each learn to value the other's work. The one age is 13, set by the Catholic A-II rating; Common Sense Media says 8+ and the MPAA says PG. Expect nonstop action, a flashing-light fight, a flashback to a shooting, and mild words like crap and damned.

For parents

One age: 13, set by the Catholic News Service/OSV A-II rating (Common Sense Media 8+, MPAA PG). OSV flags action violence, gunplay, mild profanity and crass language, and says younger viewers may find it frightening. Common Sense adds a flashing-light fight that has raised seizure concerns, a flashback where a father is shot in a robbery (not shown), cocktails and a toast, teen flirting, and words like crap, hell and damned. Talk about it: Why did Bob struggle at home, and what did he learn about his wife's work? Was Evelyn's anger justified, and was her answer? What does it mean to be good when no one is clapping?
