Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Acceptable with guidance. Age: 6+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.
Our review
Mother Teresa is a nun who teaches girls in India. God calls her to help the poorest people on the streets of Calcutta. She starts a new group of sisters who care for the sick and the dying. It is pious and warm, but thin, and it leaves out her stand against abortion.
For parents
Ages 6 and up, set by Lumen's own call. Decent Films flags one remark that edges toward all religions being equal. She loved people of every faith and wanted all to know Jesus. Her Nobel speech also condemned abortion. The Church teaches that all salvation comes from Christ through His Church (CCC 846).
