Pope Leo XIV: A Who HQ Illustrated Biography
Acceptable. Age: 4+. A Catholic review of this book for parents.
Our review
A short, simple life of the first American pope, from a Chicago boy to priest, missionary and pope. The facts in the publisher's description match the Vatican biography. The one reservation: we could not read the book, so how it treats God, prayer and the Church is unchecked.
For parents
For ages 4 to 7. Read-aloud age is 4 and read-alone age is 4, set by the publisher's range; there is no Common Sense rating. Ask: how did he serve people in Peru? What does a pope do? Pray for him together.
