Pressure

2026 · Anthony Maras · World War II historical drama

Recommended. Age: 18+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.

Our review

A tense, smart war film about telling the truth when everyone wants a different answer. Stagg will not bend his forecast, and Eisenhower takes the weight of the decision on himself. A hymn and a call to prayer have a real place in the story, and believers can see providence in the weather. The reservation is language: God's and Jesus' names are misused several times, and the combat is brief but bloody.

For parents

For adults, per the OSV News A-III; Common Sense Media says 13+. Expect bloody beach scenes, heavy smoking and cursing, including misuse of God's and Jesus' names. Ask: why did Stagg refuse to change his forecast? What did Eisenhower ask of God before D-Day, and why?
