Remarkably Bright Creatures

Our review
A gentle, well-acted story about grief giving way to love. Tova lets people back in, Cameron learns he is worth something, and old friends refuse to give up on a bitter widow. The reservation is real. Plugged In counts about 35 misuses of God's name, nine s-words and an f-word, and a sympathetic character says he hid being gay from his father. God never enters the healing.
For parents
For adults. Lumen sets Adults because a sympathetic character's gay identity is alluded to, and the film is full of profanity, with God's name taken in vain about 35 times. Ask: what helped Tova stop shutting people out? Where is God in a grief that lasts 30 years?
