Tenzing
Acceptable with guidance. Age: 10+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.
Our review
Tenzing honors a humble man who wanted to be treated as an equal. It builds respect, perseverance and loyalty without any attack on faith. The one reservation is that Tenzing's reverence for the mountain goddess is shown as sincere spiritual truth, with no sense of the one true God behind it.
For parents
Age 10+, set by Common Sense Media; PG. Good for families with older children. Talk about why Tenzing honored the mountain, and how a Christian honors the Creator instead (CCC 2112 warns against false worship). Ask how the film shows respect for every person.
