A smart, warm sci-fi tale that honors the elderly and condemns buying eternal youth with other people's lives. Its retirees are brave, loyal and funny. But it treats an affair and a casual hookup as nothing, makes a pot-smoking resident the charming one, and swears constantly. It honors friendship but offers no hope past the grave.
For parents
Adults only. Common Sense Media says 15 and up, TV-MA, and Lumen says adults for the strong language, drug use and casual sex. Grown viewers may enjoy the courage of the old. Ask: why is it wrong to buy more life at someone else's cost? Where do these neighbors look for hope?
