The Devil Wears Prada 2
Caution. Age: 18+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.
Our review
There is real warmth here. Old rivals become allies, Miranda makes amends to Nigel, and Andy learns to respect a demanding mentor and the man she brushed aside. The reservations are three. Miranda tells guests at The Last Supper that Jesus was fallible, and nobody answers her. Andy's romance moves to an implied night together. And the whole film sells fashion brands, Dior above all.
For parents
For adults, by the OSV News A-III, even though Common Sense says 13+. Be ready for the Last Supper scene: Christ is like us in all things but sin (Hebrews 4:15). Ask: what changed Miranda? Is Andy's career worth more than the people around her? What are beauty and clothes for?
