The Story of Everything

2026 · Eric Esau · Documentary (science and faith, argument from design)

Acceptable with guidance. Age: 10+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.

Our review

This documentary makes a sober case that the order of the cosmos points to a Mind behind it. That is a road the Church has always walked: God can be known from the things He made. It argues from reason, not from the Gospel, which is fine for what it sets out to do. Our reservation is the evidence: no content log exists yet, so this verdict is provisional.

For parents

Good for curious kids ten and up and for teens who have heard that science disproves God. Watch together and pause to talk. Ask: what in nature makes you wonder who made it? Read Romans 1:20 together. The Church also teaches that true science and faith cannot contradict each other.
