Toy Story 5
Acceptable with guidance. Age: 5+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.
Our review
A warm, funny story about true friendship and what screens can steal from a child. Jessie leads with courage, the toys sacrifice for Bonnie, and the film teaches that play and real friends matter more than a tablet. The one reservation: a string of gender-swap gags in Bonnie's pretend weddings, like a male toy in a tutu. They are small but needless, and worth a word.
For parents
Fine for children 5 and up, the age Common Sense Media gives; OSV News says all ages. Expect potty jokes. If your child asks about the dress-up gags, explain that God made us boy and girl. Ask: what makes a true friend? When should the tablet go away?
